Most of the wood species mentioned on this website, you’ll see while searching through cabinet catalogs and kitchen design centers. Most people will be drawn to one wood species or another, for various reasons. One may be drawn to oak because that’s, "what their loving grandmother had during their childhood". This is an odd example, but it’s real. There may be many reasons why you like. However, the people I’ve run in to either love oak, or hate it.
